Briquetting presses

Briquetting presses

The briquetting presses are machines that, through a simple mechanical or hydraulic process, transform the sawdust in briquette by subjecting it to a very high pressure, without the addition of binders and chemical additives. The briquette production is useful to get a remarkable reduction of volume and is a good source of heating. In fact they represent a valid alternative to the traditional heating fuels and an exceptional technology, because they allow to concentrate high energetic reserves in a reduced volume. Easy to store and transport, they are safe products because they are less flammable than fossil fuels.

The production of briquettes is useful to obtain a significant reduction in volume and a source of heating. In fact, they represent a valid alternative to traditional heating fuel and technology of great interest as they lead concentrate high energy reserves in a volume content. Easy to store and transport, they are safe products because less flammable than the fossil fuels

They have a great heat capacity (average yield 4.000/4.500 kcal/Kg with an efficiency greater than 80%) as retain heat longer maintaining the high temperature inside the combustion chamber

The briquettes, because of their natural characteristics, produce little smoke and thanks to their high density and low moisture content (less than the firewood) they burn more slowly and almost completely with a low post-combustion residual and consequently cleaner boilers.
Because of their low porosity, the coals produced during the combustion is denser than that produced by the normal combustion of wood or unpressed biomass
